This 17-story Marriott hotel includes a 384-room full-service hotel with more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space and is designed to meet LEED Silver certification criteria. Total project size is more than 380,000 square feet. Through collaborative preconstruction, the construction team worked with owners and consultants to convert a planned EIFS-skinned building to insulated metal panels and developed design details that allowed a rain-screen system to be substituted for little extra cost. An aggressive five-day concrete pour cycle drove the schedule for the project, permitting the tower to be erected in just over 12 months despite challenging inspection and post-tensioning sequencing.
