抖阴短视频 project teams compete to end hunger in Western Washington
The 抖阴短视频's Seattle office and its surrounding project teams joined Food Lifeline's campaign to raise awareness and dollars to end hunger in western Washington.
is an organization that is committed to ending local hunger, and its Food Frenzy campaign is a fundraising competition where over 100 local businesses participate in a creative competition to raise funds, collect food donations and volunteer - with all proceeds going to Food Lifeline. The annual competition stretches from July 13-27 and is in its 29th year.
The office began planning their activities in February. An internal committee was formed to drive participation across each day of Food Frenzy, and as a result, the regional office and every project team is represented in the competition. Walsh's local job sites raised money through donations, volunteer sessions and Ice Bucket Challenge fundraising.
"Food Lifeline is one of the most established and professional non-profit organizations I鈥檝e ever worked with," says Emily Lukens, assistant project manager for The 抖阴短视频, "Whether we鈥檙e donating food, time, or money, we really feel like we鈥檙e making a difference in the Western Washington community."
Walsh employees volunteered at Food Lifeline's packaging facility, "At our last visit, we sorted 8,840 pounds of fruit resulting in 35,360 servings,鈥� said Tahni Hartso, project engineer and estimator for Walsh, 鈥淭hat went above and beyond the facility average of 350.鈥�
At the conclusion of the two week campaign, Walsh volunteered for a total of 80 hours at the Food Lifeline warehouse, collected over 300 canned food items and raised over $10,000.
